Transforming the Cleveland Guardians' Administrative Building

Progressive Field opened in 1994. The Cleveland Guardians administrative building hasn’t been renovated since. As part of a larger revitalization to the ballpark, the administrative building received a well-deserved modernization. With RiseDBI leading the experience design, we fabricated and installed a suite of elements, graphics, and displays across the five floor building.

The scope included custom millwork, environmental branding, display cases, and experiential elements. Every detail needed to be cohesive and precise. When telling the story of a franchise dating back to 1901, quality is everything.

One of our favorite elements is the bat display, comprised of 85 Louisville sluggers. The mounting rails are machined to fit each bat, making them appear to float off the wall. It’s small details like these that make all the difference.

The result is an inspiring work environment that celebrates the Guardians and the people who make game day, and every day, possible.

We also installed a 60-cell Nostaboard in the ballpark’s Terrace Hall. Featuring player photos, quotes, and iconic Cleveland imagery, the split-flap display levels up the fan experience outside the Terrace Hall cafe. The Nostaboard depicts the Guardians’ excellence, legacy, and deep connections to Cleveland—bringing it all back to focus on what really matters: the game.

The DoSeum

Uniquely Us: Understanding Race and Building Unity at the DoSeum

Xibitz proudly served as the primary fabrication partner for “Uniquely Us: Understanding Race and Building Unity,” a thoughtfully designed, interactive exhibition at The DoSeum in San Antonio. This traveling exhibit creates a safe, engaging space for learners of all ages to explore concepts of race, diversity, and human connection through hands-on experiences.

Working in close collaboration with The DoSeum’s in-house design team, Xibitz brought to life a series of imaginative, age-appropriate installations that combine science, storytelling, and sensory exploration. The exhibit’s distinctive visual identity features colorful PVC frameworks that define different activity zones while creating a cohesive, connected environment that invites discovery.

Some of the exhibit’s unique elements include an Immersive Hair tunnel, with unique foam shapes to represent hair types; an interactive Skin Microscope that snaps photos of visitors’ hands to reveal the diversity of skin tones; and a hand-crank that powers a digital storytelling device.

The fabrication plan accommodated distinct activity zones for different age groups:

A dollhouse play area with diverse representation for young children
Tactile exploration stations for ages 5-10
Empathy-building story exhibits for ages 10+

As the sole fabrication partner, Xibitz handled all physical exhibit components, from structural frameworks to interactive elements. Our team also managed the integration of digital components and performed the final installation, ensuring seamless functionality across all exhibit elements.

Silva Bar

Custom Fabrication Meets Carnival at Silva Restaurant and Bar

In the competitive hospitality industry, creating memorable guest experiences requires more than great service and cuisine—it demands distinctive environments that captivate and intrigue. When the visionary owner of Silva, a new restaurant and entertainment venue in Grand Rapids, approached Xibitz with a request for something “funky, weird, and different,” our team delivered an installation that transforms the functional necessity of a bar into an artistic focal point.

Silva found its home in a long-abandoned athletic club, complete with a wooden basketball court, glass-enclosed racquetball courts, and even a swimming pool. This unconventional space called for equally unconventional design elements that would honor the building’s history while creating something entirely new.

Our custom fabrication team brought this concept to life through meticulous craftsmanship and innovative technical solutions. Six powder-coated aluminum poles support the floating shelves and carousel-inspired canopy. We applied a custom antique film to the mirrors, which allowed us to design a pattern with hidden imagery — rewarding the observant patron. A local artist hand-painted the wood panels, adding authentic artistic touches that connect the space with Grand Rapids’ creative community.

The marquee lights cap off the experience. Wired by hand, the lights play pre-programmed sequences, evoking the nostalgic charm of a vintage carousel in motion.

As a Grand Rapids-based company, this hometown project holds special significance for our team. We’re proud to have contributed to the cultural landscape of our community while showcasing the caliber of custom fabrication expertise available right here in Michigan.
